Passenger Equipment
It is a cold winters day but these gentlemen do not seem to mind it as their excursion train waits on Bridge No.1 at Cadosia, NY in the early 1940's. Soon they will continue south to Scranton Pa. The gentleman standing on the bridge closest to the observation car is society member Hal Ripperger's uncle. This observation car was one of two built by A.C.F. in 1913 for the St. Louis and Southwestern R.R. Co. They were purchased by the O.& W. in 1921 and painted Dark Green with deluxe gold lettering, numbered 82 and 83. In 1938 Otto Kuhler designed their maroon, black and orange Mountaineer paint scheme and they were then named "Ulster" and "Orange". Soon after the demise of the
Mountaineer Limited
passenger service program these cars would return to their original green paint scheme. In the late fourties the observation cars as well as R.P.O. No. 172 and a baggage car were painted in the diesel gray scheme.

Ohio Falls Parlor Cars in HO Scale
The Old & Weary Car Shop has worked with John Greene of Bethlehem Car Works
for almost two years in the developement of this kit. We hope to colaberate on
several other parlor car kits for the N.Y.O.&W. in the future.
Six Cars were built by Ohio Falls for the Old Woman. They were named
Beaverkill, Delaware, Oneida, Neversink, Willowemoc & Walkill.
This is a laser cut wood craftsman kit. It includes a resin roof, laser cut wood body, decals and plastic and white metal detail parts. Kit comes less trucks & couplers. Item #SP-33 Price $75.00

Osgood-Bradley Steel R.P.O. No. 170 at Mayfield yard in September of 1957. This car was always painted in the
deep olive green color with deluxe gold lettering. At least one of the other R.P.O.'s made it into the Diesel Gray scheme.
