802-1 802-2 802-3

The O&W had several Brill built gas electrics numbers 802, 803 & 804 which were used in branchline passenger service. Back in the late 1980's GHB International imported a model 250 gas electric in HO & O Scales which was a base model which many railroads modified to fit their needs. This model is very close with the exception of a couple of minor details to the unit purchased by the O&W. The OWCS custom painted a fairly large number of these models when they were available.

The Great Wooden Fleet"The New York Ontario & Western served the New York vacation resorts in the Catskills. Until World War II the O&W's "First Class" passenger fleet consisted of turn of the century wooden parlor cars. At the same time as the Pennsylvania RR promoted its "Great Steel Fleet", the O&W's antiques were affectionately nicknamed the "Great Wooden Fleet". The OWCS will offer a new 3 car set. They will be painted olive green with Deluxe gold lettering and are available in VERY limited quantities.

WADDELL COAL MINING CO. INC.
34' USRA style two bay ribbed steel hoppers.
As it happens so many times a model is produced and then additional photos and information are found. All new artwork was produced for our model based on new photo information. We have also painted the interiors of these cars a rusty brown color. The O&W would not have gone through the efforts (or expense) to paint the insides orange. During the 1950's the Waddell Coal Co. purchased 5 of these cars from the O&W and painted them in a bright orange, black and white paint scheme. They have been photographed out on the O&W main line probably delivering "Waddell Coal" to O&W customers on and off line.
